I tried to make a cravat for Clint, but since it's white, you really can't see it in this picture.
When we entered the ball we were greeted by the hostess of the ball and an actor who bellowed out our names to the group. It was kind of funny because those that arrived late sure couldn't sneak in discreetly. We spent some time doing period dances that they taught us, and then we had a nice period meal. The paid actor guy walked up and down the dinner line chatting with people. He told us that there were kitten tears in the mashed potatoes, which wasn't exactly appealing. However, the food was delicious: rolls, turkey, this amazing rosemary asparagus, and of course, the mashed potatoes with kitten tears. For dessert we had a yummy bread pudding.
This event took place in the Masonic temple downtown, which was sort of an interesting venue.
I'm glad Clint was willing to some to the ball, even though the guys at work gave him grief about it. He was a good sport and merrily chatted away to the strangers we sat near at the banquet table. All in all it was definitely a fun and unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
That looks like fun and it sounds like Clint was a very good sport :) I love your hair, Jenn has skills!
